What’s Happening in China? Forced Starvation and Lockdown.
I didn’t expect to still be talking about COVID at this point… I remember two years ago I hardly had a sense of how the future would look and how our government would handle things. I never imagined the full picture of just how bad things could get but recent events in China are causing me to look deeper at what is going on.
It started a couple weeks ago when I came across multiple videos showing the violence from police towards Chinese civilians, and videos of how thousands of people were screaming out of their windows due to the recent excessive lockdown. The video was upsetting, and you could hear screams from people of all ages at once, just like something from a horror movie. What once was something I remember people romanticizing in NY with songs, and positive messages is now quite different as people in one province are being told to calm down by small drone-robots flying in the sky. Its unreal. And many people do not have enough to eat after long and drawn-out lockdowns with no food service in place by the government.
According to Huizhong Wu of ABC 7, “Volunteers and government workers in Shanghai erected metal barriers in multiple districts to block off small streets and entrances to apartment complexes, as China hardens its strict ‘zero-COVID’ approach in its largest city despite growing complaints from residents. In the city's financial district, Pudong, the barriers - thin metal sheets or mesh fences - were put up in several neighborhoods under a local government directive, according to Caixin, a Chinese business media outlet. Buildings where cases have been found sealed up their main entrances, with a small opening for pandemic prevention workers to pass through”.
Many choices made by the governments around the world have led me to question the actual ethics behind mandates and laws being passed over this period. Is our safety actually in mind? We saw mask mandates go up, then be taken away, only to be implemented again. And now people are still being forced into these strange demands, due to “low vaccination rates” …Sounds strange right? It does to me. I feel this is something I watch daily, waiting to see what next moves the governments around the world make, hoping that people will continue to try and fight for their freedoms that are very much under attack by growing totalitarian ruling forces.
